Aminos

Amino acids are the 'building blocks' of protein and to this extent are essential to the human body. Amino acids in our diet come from protein rich sources such as meat, fish, dairy products, and vegetables such as legumes, peas, and grains. Further supplementation with amino acids, may be beneficial to the repair, growth, and development of muscle tissue.

Amino acid blends:
Are a combination of essential amino acids (EAAs) and non-essential amino acids (Non-EAAs) designed to give the user a full spectrum of aminos.

Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs):
Are comprised of the 3 amino acids-valine, isoleucine, and leucine. These are said to be the three most important amino acids in the manufacture, maintenance and repair of muscle-tissue. As with most amino acids, you can find BCAAs in a high-quality blended protein powder, but research suggests that they have a much more powerful effect when taken separately and in accordance with your bodyweight.

Glutamine:
Is the largest and most abundant amino acid in the muscle, where it makes up a third of the muscle tissue. During exercise, glutamine is lost from your muscle tissue, so you should replenish the loss, and the most efficient way to do this, is through supplementation. It is reported to: promote immune function, aid recovery, aid neurotransmission, and aid digestion processes. As a pre workout choice it is reported to create both growth hormone release and have an anti catabolic effect on the muscles.
